Scuba divers are required to use scuba gear when they intend to go deeper. The primary objective why these suits should wear is to protect legs from the effects of rough metal or wood underwater. They wear wet suits in order to prevent hypothermia in an extreme conditions and especially air temperature or cold water. Other variety of diving suits that are available are full suits, shorties, and thermal suits. The full suits will completely cover the legs, arms and torso. This suit offer the best protection when the water is frigid. While the shorties suits is used for warmer diving and it provides protection by keeping the diver’s core warm. This kind of suit is extended up to the elbows and knees.

An individual who’s interested to become a scuba diver, minimal amount of training is essential.

The High Jump and the Different Techniques

Posted on September 29th, 2011 by admin

As most of you already know, high jump is a track and field athletics event in which participants must jump over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without any support. Over the centuries since, competitors have introduced increasingly more effective techniques to arrive at the current form. The oldest is the scissors techniques, eastern cut-off, the western roll, the straddle and more others.

In high jumping technique there are four important aspects that we need to understand. First is the run where it sets the basic jumping pattern. The player should focus on maximising the angel of the run as directly proportional to the distance with which the arms and legs clear the bar. Second is the gather. Here the players will gather all the momentum he has achieved from the run and coverts it into a jump. To achieved this perfectly, a great deal of practice, strength and muscular ability are applied. The third is the lead. To perform this jump, make sure that your leg is kept as straight as possible while running as fast as needed. Finally is the clearing bar, which determined by four aspects, these are angle of the take off, the degree to which the straight leg was extended, the inclination of the rest of the body, and the quality of the take off.

Since the quality of a player is tested in his exhibition of recklessness, he should know when to practice technique, caution and calculation to let go. To have a perfect high jumping, you must remember these three aspects, competitive spirit, adequacy or power and mastery of technique.

The contemporary technique called V-technique is use to ensure that the skiers are able to achieve a take-off hill distance. This kind of techniques is greater than which can be achieved by the previous techniques used by a parallel skis.

The Home of Swimming Sports and the High-Tech Swimsuits

Posted on March 21st, 2011 by admin

Swimming is a kind of sport that involves water. In a body of open water, there are 5 kilometer, 10 kilometer, and 25 kilometer events for men and women, however, 10 kilometer event is included in the Olympic Games for both men and women.

No doubt most of you already familiar regarding the four major swim styles such as freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly. These are the main strokes that are used during the swimming events.

In the nineteenth century, competitive swimming becomes popular and their primary goal is to constantly improve upon one’s time, or to beat the competitors in any given event. Today, the international governing body for competitive swimming is the International Swimming Federation known as FINA.

During the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, these high-tech swimsuits were mentioned. The primary purpose of those high-tech swimsuits is to enhance the athletes’ performances in the racing events. And upon viewing the thrilling swimming race with the high-tech swimsuits, many viewers were fascinated.

However, when the 43 world records were broken, governing bodies had decided to take action with a series of bans that now cover all of the top-level swimming events around the world. Naturally, there are some in swimming disagree with this decision. Some argue that that this high-tech swimsuits makes focus on who has the best suit rather than who has the most talent and training. Because this ban affects television ratings and athlete sponsorships, the swimming governing bodies are likely to start rethinking their decision.

Workshops

Posted on February 16th, 2011 by admin
